Pick up sticks

This was still back in South Africa, taken a few days before we moved out of our home there.  There is this little pond close to a care center for older people.  It was sunset and I was just enjoying the changing colours reflecting on the water, when this red-knobbed coot swam by carrying a stick to use as nesting material.  I guess I'm just feeling a little nostalgic today.
